Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join us on a contract basis within the mining industry.

This role requires mining experience (mining assets preferred) and the ability to travel on-site.

The ideal candidate will have strong Business analysis skills including API, data and process analysis skills.

Key Responsibilities and Output Areas Include:

  • Conducting end-to-end business analysis (data, process, systems, and business analysis).
  • Engaging with key stakeholders to gather, interpret, and document business, functional, and technical requirements.
  • Translating business needs into user stories and integrating them into Agile delivery frameworks.
  • Mapping and analyzing existing and new business processes to optimize efficiency.
  • Ensuring data integrity, quality, and governance across projects.
  • Participating in solution design, testing, and implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Supporting project delivery through implementation and training.
  • Driving risk and quality management processes throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements
  • Matric.
  • Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Business Analysis, Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst with at least 2+ years within Mining.
  • BABOK knowledge preferred; CBAP certification is a plus.
  • Proven expertise in Agile, Waterfall, and other methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with process notations (BPMN) and business process modelling tools (e.g., Bizagi)
  • Strong ability to translate requirements into user stories for Agile teams.
  • Proven track record as a Senior Business Analyst within large-scale projects.
  • Mining industry experience and exposure to mining assets is required.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and documentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel and work on-site in Randfontein.
