Role Summary

iqbusiness is seeking experienced Business Analysts for contract opportunities within the financial services sector, with strong exposure to electronic payments, card payments, cross-border transactions, RTGS, and SWIFT. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the National Payment System (NPS) and its ongoing modernisation initiatives, enabling them to analyse, define, and deliver solutions that support critical financial systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver end-to-end business analysis across data, process, system, and business domains
  • Analyse and support payment-related initiatives, including electronic, card, cross-border, and RTGS/SWIFT projects
  • Elicit, document, and manage business, functional, and technical requirements
  • Translate requirements into user stories and support Agile delivery
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops, interviews, and information-gathering sessions
  • Participate in solution design with cross-functional teams
  • Analyse, map, and optimise current- and future-state business processes
  • Ensure data integrity, quality, and governance throughout the delivery lifecycle
  • Define success criteria, prepare test cases, and support testing activities
  • Support solution implementation, training, and business readiness

 Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst within financial services environments
  • Exposure to electronic payments, card payments, cross-border transactions, RTGS, and SWIFT
  • Understanding of the National Payment System (NPS) and its modernisation initiatives
  • Experience working across Agile, Waterfall, and RUP methodologies
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and business writing skills
  • Solid experience in data analysis, process modelling, and systems analysis
  • Working knowledge of BABOK practices, SDLC, and Business Change Lifecycle
  • Familiarity with tools and frameworks such as JIRA, Confluence, ARIS, ACORD Framework, SOA, TOGAF, and ArchiMate

 Education

  • Matric (required)
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma, or recognised certification from an accredited institution)
